Richmond Rolling Solutions have been manufacturing in Australia for over 65 years, still family owned, with manufacturing and distribution across Australia and New Zealand. Their range is castors and wheels, trolleys and dollies, sliding gate hardware, plastic storage, conveyor gear and stainless equipment for food service — and they are one of the two main suppliers behind the Lift Easy range. The gate bay, the crates and the trolleys are on the floor at our Cairns store on Scott St.
Two shelves, two arrangements, and it is worth knowing which is which before you drive anywhere. The materials handling side — sliding gate hardware, trolleys and hand trucks, crates and castors — is held at the Cairns store. The trailer side, the jockey wheels and spares, is ordered in to the Townsville workshop and is the part you will find in the online shop. Ring whichever is closer and we will tell you which shelf your part is on rather than letting you find out on arrival.

Sliding gate hardware
The gate bay, on the floor at Cairns. Gate track wheels, M12 and M14 nylon gate rollers, hanging gate roller sets in 25mm, 38mm and 55mm, brackets, and the nylon gear racks that a powered gate runs on.
Gate motors and remotes
Richmond's powered sliding gate motor is a 240V AC unit their box rates for sliding gates up to 800kg, and it can be converted to DC battery backup or solar. Motor remotes and a Wi-Fi smart switch sit alongside it. Those are Richmond's published figures, printed on the carton.
Trolleys, hand trucks and dollies

Castors and wheels
Richmond castors and wheels run alongside the Fallshaw wall at Cairns, boxed and on the shelf. Between the two suppliers, bolt patterns, wheel materials and load ratings can be matched at the counter.
Crates and plastic storage
Ventilated stacking crates in the trolley bay, plus the plastic storage side of the range. Unglamorous, and the thing that actually moves stock around a kitchen, a store room or a workshop.
Jockey wheels and trailer spares
The trailer side, ordered in to the Townsville workshop and listed in our online shop. Swing-up jockey wheels in 200mm and 250mm, spare wheels for both, and replacement handles.

The honest take.
Richmond sell direct as well as through stockists, and they have their own branches around the country — so the honest question is what buying it here gets you. Two things. It is on a shelf you can walk to in Cairns rather than in transit, which matters when a gate is off its track or a trolley has stopped rolling. And the counter has the Fallshaw wall on the other side of it, so a castor or a wheel can be matched across both ranges at once instead of guessing from two websites.
