Marshell build the DV-T2 — the electric four-wheel-drive UTV we sell through both our Townsville and Cairns branches. A two-seat working side-by-side with a tipping tray, independent suspension on all four corners and diff locks as standard, running on a lithium iron phosphate pack instead of a petrol engine.

Our position

The reasonable question about a brand you have not heard of is whether it will still be supported in five years. Guangdong Marshell Electric Vehicle Co. is not a garage operation — as at August 2026 they state 22 years building electric vehicles, 300,000 square metres of workshop, 100 engineers and 1,600 workers across two manufacturing bases. We hold the machines here and do the service and repairs ourselves, so the support question is answered locally either way.

The DV-T2, in detail.

DV-T2 — electric 4WD UTV

Two seats, manual tipping cargo bed, real-time four-wheel drive with diff locks standard. 15kW rated and 30kW peak, 340kg total payload and a 1600kg winch capacity. Set at 50 km/h as standard, and we can raise it where the work calls for it.

Lithium, not lead

76.8V 200Ah LiFePO4 with a built-in BMS and Bluetooth monitoring, IP67 rated. The on-board charger runs on 100–240V, so Australian mains is not a question.

Built for terrain, not fairways

270mm ground clearance, four-wheel independent double wishbone suspension, four-wheel disc hydraulic brakes and all-terrain tyres. Off-road only — this is not a registrable machine.

Cab and equipment

A 7" IP65 touchscreen, 170° reversing camera, tilt-adjustable wheel, three-point belts and a three-position windscreen. LED light bars, a display upgrade and a sound bar are available as options.

Why we stock Marshell

The honest take.

It is a genuine work vehicle rather than a cart with knobbly tyres, and the quiet is the part people underrate — with no engine noise you can get close to wildlife and stock instead of clearing them ahead of you. The trade-off is honest: an electric machine needs a power point at the end of the day, so if it lives a long way from one, a petrol side-by-side still wins. Who are Marshell?+
Guangdong Marshell Electric Vehicle Co., a Chinese manufacturer of electric vehicles. As at August 2026 they state 22 years in the business, 300,000 square metres of workshop and around 1,700 engineers and workers across two plants. We stock and support their DV-T2 UTV.
Which Marshell models do you stock?+
The DV-T2 electric 4WD UTV. Marshell make a wider range — buses, scooters, handling equipment — but the DV-T2 is what we hold and support here.
Do diff lockers come standard?+
Yes, on every DV-T2 we sell. Four-wheel drive gets power to all four corners; the diff locks stop it disappearing into whichever wheel has lost grip.
Can it be registered for the road?+
No — the DV-T2 is an off-road machine, for private property, farms, mine sites, resorts and council grounds. Our golf carts are different: the LSV variants can be registered in QLD with the right paperwork.
Can the top speed be increased?+
Yes. The DV-T2 comes set at 50 km/h, and that is a setting rather than a limit — we can raise it where the work calls for it. It remains an off-road machine either way.
Who services it?+
We do, at the Townsville workshop — servicing, repairs and parts. The electrical side is our trade, so controller, BMS, charging and wiring faults are diagnosed here rather than sent away.
Can I buy a Marshell through Cairns?+
Yes — we are a dealer across both branches. The machines are held at the Townsville workshop, which is also where the servicing and repairs are done, but a UTV can be bought through Cairns just as easily. Ring either branch.
What colours does it come in?+
Six: Onyx Black, Camouflage, Sky White, Sunset Red, Volcanic Orange and Onyx Blue.
Can I drive one before deciding?+
Yes. Give us a call and we will get you in it. The silence in particular does not come across in a photograph.
